The Olink Reveal Kit is a next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based, proteomics solution that enables the measurement of over 1,000 proteins with curated content to support translational and immune-related research and with broad proteome coverage.

Based on Olink's widely used proximity extension assay (PEA) technology, the Olink Reveal Kit minimizes cross-reactivity to deliver highly specific, reproducible results at scale. It fits seamlessly into existing NGS workflows.

Features and benefits

  • Access innovative NGS-based proteomics with a cost-effective library prep that fits into existing NGS workflows
  • Measure ~1,000 proteins, helping provide broad coverage of the proteome with powerful, carefully curated content for translational insights
  • Profile inflammation- and immune-related biology in depth
  • Simplify your workflow with pre-dried, pre-mixed reagents for quick and reliable sample preparation
  • Accelerate discovery with integrated data tools supporting every step from study design to biological interpretation

Additional product details

The Olink Reveal Kit is powered by proximity extension assay (PEA) technology, a robust method featuring three layers of specificity. In this assay, pairs of antibodies are labelled with unique DNA oligonucleotides and, upon correct binding, form a unique DNA barcode that is measured by NGS. This multi-step verification process significantly reduces cross-reactivity, helping ensure highly specific and reliable protein measurements.

The Olink Reveal Kit is built for simplicity and efficiency. It uses pre-mixed, dried-down reagents in 96-well plates and integrates directly into standard NGS workflows. With just 2.5 hours of hands-on time, users can generate data from up to 86 samples in under two days.

Key performance characteristics

  • Reproducibility: R=0.96–0.98 between four different research groups
  • Sensitivity: detects proteins at concentrations as low as fg/mL
  • Precision: intra-plate CVs 8.1%, inter-plate CVs 4.8%, inter-site CVs 6.3%
  • Compatibility: validated in plasma and serum; compatible with additional sample types
  • Detectability: proteins detected in 86–100% of tested samples
