Description

Calcium fluoride is used to manufacture optical components such as windows and lenses, used in thermal imaging systems, spectroscopy, and excimer lasers. In combination with KF, it is a useful fluorinating agent for conversion of other alkyl halides to fluorides. It may be used in the fabrication of microfluidic capillary electrophoresis (CE) devices.
