Description
1-Phenyl-1H-tetrazole-5-thiol is an effective inhibitor of aluminum corrosion in 1M HCl solution. 1-Phenyl-1H-tetrazole-5-thiol was used in the synthesis of oxacyclic building blocks via highly stereoselective radical cyclization and olefin metathesis reactions. It was also used in the synthesis of metalated tetradecyl sulfone. It is also used in the spectrophotometric determination of Pt and Bi.

Applications
1-phényl-1H-tétrazole-5-thiol : inhibiteur efficace de la corrosion de l’aluminium dans la solution de HCl 1M. -phényl-H-tétrazole--thiol : utilisé dans la synthèse de blocs de construction oxacycliques via réactions de cyclisation de radicaux hautement stéréosélectives et de métathèse d’oléfines. Sert également à la synthèse de sulfone tétradécyl métallée. Aussi employé dans la détermination spectrophotométrique de Pt et Bi.
Solubilité
Soluble dans 5 % d’éthanol, d’eau (en partie), d’acétone, de chloroforme et de méthanol.
Remarques
Sensible à l’air. Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Stable dans les conditions de stockage recommandées. Tenir à l’écart des agents oxydants forts.
