Applications
2-Decanone was used in the synthesis of brushed block copolymers via conjugation through an acid-labile hydrazone linker to poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(aspartate hydrazide) block copolymers; methyl ketones. 2-decanone used as a solvent and an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. It is also used in perfumes.

Solubility
Soluble in alcohol. Insoluble in water.

Store in cool, dry place in tightly closed containers. With good ventilation. Store away from oxidizing agent.
