The product is a cellular lysate containing recombinant human full-length C-terminal GFP-tagged LRRK2 G2019S expressed in HEK293T cells via BacMam technology. LRRK2-GFP G2019S Lysate is intended for use in LanthaScreen® Eu Kinase Binding Assay.

LRRK2 is a multi-domain protein that includes a kinase domain, a GTPase domain, and a leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain. The G2019S mutation of LRRK2 is associated with an increase in catalytic activity and has been associated with Parkinson's disease.

Using LRRK2-GFP G2019S Lysate with the LanthaScreen® System Lets You:

• Examine LRRK2 Mutations
• Work with a more biologically relevant full length LRRK2 protein
• Obtain sensitive detection of kinase inhibitors
• Measure the right kinase

Examine LRRK2 G2019S Mutations with BacMam Reagents
Use therapeutic mutant LRRK2-GFP G2019S lysate along with the wild-type LRRK2-GFP lysate (Cat. No A14174) reagent to facilitate your research into LRRK2 mutations. The lysate utilizes a full length LRRK2 protein, offering users a more biologically relevant system for assessing LRRK2 compared to truncated proteins.

A Highly Specific Kinase Assay That is Not Dependent on Activity
Our kinase tracers are based on ATP-competitive kinase inhibitors, making them suitable for detection of any compounds that bind either to the ATP site or to an allosteric site altering the conformation of the ATP site. Any signal resulting from the LanthaScreen® Eu Kinase Binding Assay is due to a specific interaction with the Eu-anti-GFP antibody bound to the kinase of interest, ensuring no signal will arise due to any other kinases or other enzymes present in a test sample. Unlike activity assays, the kinase binding assay can be performed with either active or non-activated kinase preparations, making it ideal for detection of Type II inhibitors.
