Description

Glucocorticoid receptor recombinant protein is an insect cell-expressed, full-length, untagged, human nuclear hormone receptor that is partially purified in order to maintain high ligand binding activity. Further purification results in decreased activity, presumably due to loss of endogenous accessory proteins. Studies have shown that glucocorticoid receptor (GR) must be associated with a complex of chaperone proteins for ligand activation. GR binds to known steroids such as dexamethasone with nanomolar affinity.

GR human recombinant protein is:

• Flexible—use in your in-house assay or as part of our PolarScreen™ Glucocorticoid Receptor Competitor assays for a complete assay solution
• Ready to use—active and native (untagged)
• Convenient—available in bulk sizes
