Identification of the species present in food and feed samples is a critical step for proof of authenticity, verification of origin, traceability of raw materials, and quality control of handling and cleaning processes in food production lines. The Ion 510 Food Protection Chip Kit allows identification of meat, fish or plant species present in all food types as a part of complete NGS Food Authenticity Workflow.

As a part of the Ion Torrent™ sequencing workflow, the Ion 510 Food Protection Chip Kit electronically detects polymerase-driven base incorporation without the use of fluorescence and offers easy handling and loading of templated products for sequencing.
