Scalable isolation of RNA (including small RNAs)
The MagMAX™ mirVana™ Total RNA Isolation Kit is designed for isolation of total RNA, including small RNAs such as microRNAs, from a wide variety of sample types. The kit uses MagMAX magnetic-bead technology, enabling reproducible recovery of high-quality RNA that is suitable for a broad range of applications, including TaqMan™ miRNA Detection Assays.

The magnetic bead–based purification format allows you to easily scale from processing 6 to 96 samples at once when used with the KingFisher™ Duo Prime or KingFisher™ Flex Magnetic Particle Processor. Alternatively, samples can be processed manually with the use of a magnetic stand.

The MagMAX mirVana Total RNA Isolation Kit eliminates the headache of ordering “specialized” kits because it has been optimized for use with most biological samples. No longer are separate, specific kits needed to isolate microRNAs from plasma and solid tissue samples.

The kit is designed for both low- and high-throughput isolation of true total RNA that covers the full range of RNAs present in cells from small RNAs such as microRNAs to non-coding RNA, messenger RNA, and ribosomal RNA. The phenol-free, magnetic-bead format makes the kit fully amenable to automated RNA isolation from the following samples:

• Serum/plasma
• Whole blood
• Tissue
• Cell culture
• Urine

Benefits of MagMAX magnetic bead–based purification
Magnetic beads offer many benefits compared to other technologies for isolating total RNA. Beads bind RNA more efficiently than glass fiber filters, thereby enabling higher and more consistent yields. Additionally, because filters are not used, there is no risk of filter clogging due to cellular particulates in samples.
