Successfully culture anaerobic and microaerophilic organisms by achieving the right atmospheric conditions using Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ AnaeroJar™ 3.5L Jar with Lid and Seal.

The 3.5L Jar holds up to 12 Petri dishes and consists of a robust clear polycarbonate base closed by a heavy-duty alloy lid and metal beam clamp. The Jar is designed to be used with Oxoid™ AnaeroGen™ 3.5L Sachet (AN0035A) and Oxoid™ CampyGen™ 3.5L Sachet (CN0035A).

Rapidly achieve the required gaseous conditions with easy-to-use Oxoid™ AnaeroJar™ 3.5L Jar with Lid and Seal.

  • Heavy-duty Schrader® valves in place of needle valves.
  • A pressure gauge that indicates positive and negative pressures in the jar.
  • A safety valve to prevent excessive gas pressures in the jar caused by incorrect use of gas cylinders.
  • Includes a Petri dish carrier for safety and convenience of use.

The AnaeroJar is designed to be used with Oxoid™ AnaeroGen™ 3.5L Sachet (AN0035A) and Oxoid™ CampyGen™ 3.5L Sachet (CN0035A).

The AnaeroGen 3.5L Sachet (AN0035A) produces an anaerobic atmosphere rapidly without the use of water or catalyst. No hydrogen is produced. The oxygen is absorbed rapidly without the build-up of pressure. The final atmosphere contains less than 1% oxygen supplemented with carbon dioxide - ideal for optimum growth of anaerobes and increased colony size.

The CampyGen 3.5L Sachet (CN0035A) produces a microaerophilic atmosphere rapidly without the use of water or catalyst. No hydrogen is produced. The oxygen is absorbed rapidly without the build-up of pressure. The final atmosphere contains an ideal microaerobic atmosphere of 8-9% oxygen and 7-8% carbon dioxide.

Oxoid™ AnaeroGen™ 3.5L Sachet (AN0035A) and Oxoid™ CampyGen™ 3.5L Sachet (CN0035A) are not included.
