What species can ProcartaPlex Platinum Assay Buffer for Plasma Samples be used with?

ProcartaPlex Platinum Assay Buffer for Plasma Samples is designed to be used with the ProcartaPlex Platinum assay format. Currently, this format has been validated for human samples only. Other species have not been tested.

What kits can ProcartaPlex Platinum Assay Buffer for Plasma Samples be used with?

ProcartaPlex Platinum Assay Buffer for Plasma Samples is designed to be used with the ProcartaPlex Platinum assay format. It is used for dilution of plasma samples and gives spike- and dilution-recovery results in the range of 70-130%. ProcartaPlex Platinum Assay Buffer for Plasma Samples is included in our Platinum ProcartaPlex Human Basic Kit for Plasma Samples (Cat.No. EPXP010-10421-901) and off-the-shelf Platinum panels. It is also offered as a stand-alone item (Cat. No. EPXP-11112-000).

Will there be any differences in performance of my instrument when switching over to MAGPIX Drive Fluid Plus from the original MAGPIX Drive Fluid?

Yes, there are instructions available for flushing the instrument and replacing the drive fluid. Please contact Technical Support at techsupport@thermofisher.com for these instructions.

What is the advantage of MAGPIX Drive Fluid Plus over the original MAGPIX Drive Fluid?

MAGPIX Drive Fluid Plus (Cat. No. 4050030) replaces the original MAGPIX Drive Fluid (Cat. No. MPXDF4PK). The new sheath formulation is updated from a single preservative to a mixture of three preservatives, specifically, sodium azide, sodium benzoate and diazolidinyl urea. This allows for greater transit stability and reduces the likelihood of future acquired microbial resistance.
