Description

The TRACE GC Ultra system offers a full range of proprietary inlets and easily interchanged detectors to help you solve the most challenging separation problems, or to take speed and throughput to a whole new level.

Ultra Analytical Performance
  • Direct Column Heating Technology lets you perform analyses in 1 to 2 minutes and shorten analysis cycle times by up to a factor of 35—without compromising analytical resolution, precision or reliability
  • Multidimensional GC (GCxGC) technology extends your separating power for complex sample characterization
  • Large Volume Injection (LVI) techniques boost sensitivity for trace analysis—without additional investment, training or revalidation; 450μL capability available for on-column and PTV inlets
  • Ensure superior retention time control, repeatability and reproducibility with digital pneumatics modules and proprietary column characterization algorithm
Ultra Versatility
  • Select from a complete range of injectors, including BEST PTV, cold on-column inlets
  • Change detectors in minutes or use up to three stacked or parallel simultaneous detectors to enhance selectivity
  • Choose any stationary phase using a range of column modules
  • Configure up to four heated and two unheated gas valves, eight pressure regulators and needle valves, in/out ports, and packed and capillary columns using an independently heated valve housing
Ultra Reliability
  • Keep high-boiling contaminants out of the column and reduce maintenance requirements with injector-integrated backflush
  • Operate unattended 24/7; automate your entire workflow with a full range of sample handling options
  • Take GC control and diagnostics beyond the lab with Local Area Networking (LAN) interfacing
  • Streamline data analysis and improve efficiency with Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System, Thermo Scientific™ Chrom-Quest™ software or Thermo Scientific™ Chrom-Card™ data system
  • Select turnkey analyzers for chemical and petrochemical applications, even those requiring advanced, multidimensional column switching techniques
Choice of Detectors
  • Flame Ionization (FID)
  • Thermal Conductivity (TCD)
  • Electron Capture (ECD)
