Sodium tetrakis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]borate is a lipophilic additive of tetraphenylborate and it is used for solvent extraction of cations and solvent polymeric membrane electrodes and optodes. It is also used as an anionic phase-transfer catalyst.
