Description

N,N,N',N'-Tetrakis(2-hydroxypropyl)ethylenediamine is used as a catalyst in the production of urethane foams. It acts as a complexing agent, plasticizer, surfactant solubilizer and curing agent for epoxy resin. It is also used as a viscosity modifier and as an anti-bloating agent for cattle. It is utilized in piezoelectric crystal detectors of sulfur dioxide and in additives for paint. It serves as a biological buffer as well as reagent for manganese. Further, it finds application in adhesives and sealant chemicals. In addition to this, it is used as a cross-linking agent.
