We have not validated the use of LIVE/DEAD Viability/Cytotoxicity Assay Kit (Green/Deep Red)(Cat. No. L32250) on bacteria, fungi or protozoa. In general, calcein, AM does not work well with bacteria due to their low intracellular esterase activity. Some protozoa may readily engulf cell impermeant stains and result in intracellular staining of live cells.
