MVK Antibody (MA5-55730) in WB
Western blot analysis of MVK in 15 µg of Caco-2. Sample was run on 6-18% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, blotted onto nitrocellulose membrane, and peroxidase conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG was used as the secondary antibody. MVK band was visualized using ECL Western Blotting Substrate. Incubation with primary MVK monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-55730) at a dilution of 1 µg/mL was used.

Target Information
Mevalonate kinase (MVK) is an early enzyme in isoprenoid and sterol synthesis. Mevalonate kinase catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of mevalonic acid to form mevalonate 5-phosphate. Deficiency in MVK activity contributes to mevalonic aciduria and hyperimmunoglobulinemia D/periodic fever syndrome (HIDS).
