To significantly reduce carrier gas consumption while running samples and when the GC is idle, the Thermo Scientific HeSaver-H2Safer kit easily transforms the iConnect SSL injector module. To save time and cost for re-validation, existing methods remain unaffected. When helium is used as carrier, the HeSaver mode substantially extends cylinder lifetime and mitigates helium shortage concerns. When hydrogen is used as carrier, the H2Safer mode ensures safer operations and optimized use of hydrogen generators.
