To facilitate in-house assay development around multiple target classes and assay formats, Tb-labeled species-specific secondary antibodies are available within the LanthaScreen® Toolbox of assay reagents. Tb-labeled secondary antibodies bind to their corresponding species IgG with low nanomolar apparent Kd's, and show negligible cross reactivity with IgG's from other species. Each Tb-labeled anti-species antibody is provided with a corresponding fluorescein-labeled IgG as a positive control.
In a kinase assay utilizing the Tb-labeled antibody generic reagent, anti-phosphopeptide primary antibody is not labeled and the detection step is performed by the addition of the Tb-labeled secondary antibody. This approach can be applied to other target classes and assay formats.
