This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84023. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
PBK (TOPK) is a serine/threonine kinase that is related to the dual specific mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPKK). The kinase is up-regulated in a variety of hematological malignancies, participates in activating lymphoid cells, and supports testicular function (spermatogenesis). Evidence suggests that mitotic phosphorylation is required for its catalytic activity. This mitotic kinase may be involved in the activation of lymphoid cells and support testicular functions, with a suggested role in the process of spermatogenesis.
