Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (71%), Rat (71%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-110801. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
GAP43 (Neuromodulin) is associated with nerve growth. GAP43 is expressed by developing and regenerating neurons, and to a lesser extent reactive glial cells. It is a major component of the motile "growth cones" that form the tips of elongating axons. GAP43 also plays a role in axonal and dendritic filopodia induction.
