This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-83381. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is an SH2-containing 5'-inositol phosphatase that is involved in the regulation of insulin function. The encoded protein also plays a role in the regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor turnover and actin remodeling. Additionally, this gene supports metastatic growth in breast cancer and is a valuable biomarker for breast cancer.
