115 VAC motor: UL-listed for Class 1, Group D, Division 1 hazardous locations; 230/400 VAC motor: EEx-d IIBT4 rating. Use in areas where flammable gases/vapors are present.
Fully mechanical speed control—adjust with lever then lock setting. Mechanical control is inherently safer from sparking than electrical control.
