L-Tyrosine is used in pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements and food additives. It is a precursor to alkaloids such as morphine, neurotransmitters, epinephrine, p-coumaric acid, thyroxine, pigment melanin and catcholamines. It plays a vital role in photosynthesis.

Aplicaciones
La L-tirosina se utiliza en productos farmacéuticos, suplementos dietéticos y aditivos alimentarios. Es un precursor de alcaloides como la morfina, neurotransmisores, epinefrina, ácido p-cumárico, tiroxina, melanina pigmentada y catecolaminas. Desempeña un papel vital en la fotosíntesis.
