Raman and FTIR in one handheld analyzer
The Gemini Plus analyzer combines Raman and FTIR technologies in a single handheld instrument, enabling complementary analysis at the scene. Its p-value algorithm and onboard Raman and FTIR libraries support identification of a broad range of unknown solids and liquids across categories that include explosives, chemical warfare agents, narcotics, and industrial chemicals. Onboard mixture analysis and reachback support help operators interpret results in demanding field situations.
Wi-Fi connectivity for data sharing and fleet-management workflows
Wi-Fi connectivity allows information to be transferred to and from Gemini Plus analyzers through configured network-share locations. Authorized administrators can add, edit, or remove Wi-Fi network and network-share settings on the analyzer, supporting consistent configurations across deployed instruments.
Wireless synchronization supports the transfer of scan data and scan sessions, reachback requests, user-created library items, and software updates. SD card synchronization remains available for offline and established workflows.
Cryptographic module validated to FIPS 140-3
The Gemini Plus analyzer incorporates a cryptographic wireless module validated to FIPS 140-3 to help protect data transmitted over Wi-Fi. This capability supports stronger encryption for wireless communication.
Ease of use for field operations
Designed for operators who work under pressure, Scan Assist technology guides users through sampling and technology selection, while customizable profiles help reduce user error. The motorized anvil enables FTIR Scan Delay, allowing operators to configure a delay and step away from the analyzer before a scan begins.
The compact handheld form factor and intuitive workflows support efficient field operations and help reduce the need to carry and operate separate Raman and FTIR instruments.
Optional capabilities
HazMasterG3: Integrated HazMasterG3® decision support software helps operators interpret results and assess potential threats from identified chemicals, supporting actionable insights directly in the field. HazMasterG3 is a registered trademark of Alluviam, LLC.
LowDoseID: When used with surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), the Gemini Plus analyzer with LowDoseID supports identification of selected narcotics in low-concentration samples.
