3-Methylpentane is used as a solvent in the preparation of vegetable oils, glues, coatings, and paints. It is also used in gasoline, rubber solvent, and petroleum ether.

Aplicaciones
El 3-metilpentano se utiliza como disolvente en la preparación de aceites vegetales, colas, recubrimientos y pinturas. También se utiliza en gasolina, disolvente de caucho y éter de petróleo.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua (0,013 g/l a 20 °C). Miscible en éter, acetona. Soluble en etanol.

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco, oscuro y bien ventilado. Almacenar alejado de materiales incompatibles, como agentes oxidantes.
