Benzofuroxan is used as an oxidant for the preparation of 2-arylsubstituted benzimidazoles, quinoxalines and 1,4-bis(alkylamino)-9,10-anthracenediones. It is also sued in the synthesis of 1,2-dinitrosobenzene.

Aplicaciones
El benzofuroxano se utiliza como oxidante para la preparación de benzimidazoles, quinoxalinas y 1,4-bis(alquilamino)-9,10-antracenedionas sustituidos en 2-arilo. También se emplea en la síntesis de 1,2-dinitrosobenceno.

Solubilidad
Soluble en metanol. Insoluble en agua.
