Leverage the reliable, robust technology of Thermo Scientific™ TRACE™ 1610 Gas Chromatography systems to analyze transformer insulating oils for dissolved gases, suitable also in presence of sulfur compounds, in compliance with ASTM D3612 methods A or C.

Automate the analysis of dissolved gases in transformer insulating oils using the Thermo Scientific™ TRACE™ 1610 GC TOGA Analyzer. The configuration allows the separation of dissolved gases (H2, O2, N2, CO, CO2, C1–C4 light hydrocarbons), including an optional bypass to divert sulfur compounds.

The system is delivered pre-configured and tested to enable fast startup and commissioning. Documentation includes startup procedures, troubleshooting guide, instrument method, and recommended spare parts.

  • Available in two configurations:
    • TOGAMAC160011: TCD detector to detect fixed gases, in series with methanizer-FID to detect low levels of CO and CO2 and light HC
    • TOGAMAC160022: in addition to the above, this system includes integrated bypass to divert sulfur species and sulfur hexafluoride to prevent damage to nickel catalyst.
  • Enables analysis of samples from vacuum extraction via manual gas-tight syringe or automated headspace sampling systems
  • Features iConnect injector/detector modules, for maximized uptime by enabling modules exchange in minutes
  • Designed for facilitated maintenance and support
  • Features spacious independent auxiliary oven with easy access to valves, rotors, and actuators
  • Offers optional isothermal oven for molecular sieve columns within the main auxiliary oven
