Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Does the Gallery Aqua Master discrete analyzer support US EPA / NELAC methods, and what about nitrate/nitrite (TON) without cadmium?

Yes. Gallery Aqua Master software automates methods that comply with US EPA, NELAC, and other international standards. For TON, the platform supports EPA approved enzymatic reduction methods, a safer alternative to cadmium coil reductions, while automating the required calibrations and QC to meet method criteria.

Which analytes can the Gallery Aqua Master discrete analyzer measure, and how many at once?

The platform can run up to 20 parameters simultaneously from a single sample. Common parameters include ammonia, nitrate + nitrite (TON), nitrite, orthophosphate, silica, chloride, sulfate, total phosphorus (TP), total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), hexavalent chromium, cyanide, total hardness, metals (colorimetric), and pH & conductivity using the optional Electrochemical Measurement (ECM) module.

How is the Gallery Aqua Master different from the standard Thermo Scientific Gallery discrete analyzer?

Both systems use our discrete cell technology, but the Gallery Aqua Master system adds water focused software capabilities: pre defined environmental/water QC method panels and custom software features for regulated methods (automated spiking, flexible QC, regulatory style calibrations, smart dilutions, and reporting). The standard Gallery discrete analyzer is a versatile general purpose discrete analyzer for food, beverage, environmental, and industrial applications, whereas the Gallery Aqua Master system is purpose built for water and nutrient compliance workflows.

What is the Gallery Aqua Master system?

The Thermo Scientific Gallery Aqua Master system is a fully automated, discrete photometric analyzer designed specifically for water and nutrient testing. It automates wet chemistry methods (colorimetric/enzymatic) to deliver reproducible results for environmental, industrial and agricultural labs that comply with US EPA, NELAC, and other international regulatory standards while reducing manual steps and errors.

Can I integrate discrete analysis with ion chromatography for comprehensive water analysis?

Yes. We offer Disc IC packages that pair discrete analysis with Thermo Scientific Dionex ion chromatography systems, delivering high throughput, comprehensive water/ion analysis without method changeover.
