The Alexa Fluor® 488 reactive dye matches the imaging channels of most popular microarray scanners. The Alexa Fluor® reactive dye decapack is specially packaged succinimidyl ester dye for labeling of DNA or RNA samples that have been modified by incorporation of aminoallyl-dUTP (Cat. no. A21664) or aminohexylacrylamido-dUTP (Cat. no. A32761). Every packaging lot is rigorously tested for the ability to label aminoallyl-modified DNA to high and consistent levels.

Abstract
Whole-genome DNA microarray analysis of a hyperthermophile and an archaeon: Pyrococcus furiosus grown on carbohydrates or peptides.
Authors:Schut GJ, Brehm SD, Datta S, Adams MW
Journal:J Bacteriol
PubMed ID:12813088
The first complete-genome DNA microarray was constructed for a hyperthermophile or a nonhalophilic archaeon by using the 2,065 open reading frames (ORFs) that have been annotated in the genome of Pyrococcus furiosus (optimal growth temperature, 100 degrees C). This was used to determine relative transcript levels in cells grown at ... More
