This combo kit includes the VetMAX MastiType Multi Kit and the MagMAX CORE Nucleic Acid Purification Kit with Mastitis & Panbacteria Module (also available separately).

VetMAX MastiType Multi Kit
The VetMAX MastiType Multi Kit enables rapid, accurate detection of 15 mastitis-causing pathogens and one penicillin-resistance gene in bovine milk. These 16 markers are detected using real-time PCR amplification of DNA unique to each pathogen in four separate reactions. The kit detects these mastitis-causing pathogens:
Staphylococcus aureus
Staphylococcus spp. (including all major coagulase-negative staphylococci)
Streptococcus agalactiae
Streptococcus dysgalactiae
Streptococcus uberis
Escherichia coli
Enterococcus spp. (including E. faecalis and E. faecium)
Klebsiella oxytoca (and/or K. pneumoniae)
Serratia marcescens
Corynebacterium bovis
Trueperella pyogenes and/or Peptoniphilus indolicus
• Staphylococcal β-lactamase gene (penicillin-resistance gene)
Mycoplasma bovis
Mycoplasma spp.
• Yeast
Prototheca spp.

MagMAX CORE Nucleic Acid Purification Kit with Mastitis & Panbacteria Module
The MagMAX CORE sample extraction system is a universal magnetic bead-based separation system designed to meet current and future veterinary testing needs. It is compatible with both automated (using the KingFisher Flex Purification System) and manual purification methods. This modular technology is optimized for the purification of nucleic acids from a wide range of sample matrices commonly submitted for veterinary diagnostic testing.

The MagMAX CORE Mastitis & Panbacteria Module is offered here with the MagMAX CORE Nucleic Acid Purification Kit to aid in the processing of all bacteria, especially those important in the detection of mastitis in cattle and from challenging matrices like mastitic milk. We have included a specially optimized lysis solution, along with an adjusted extraction procedure to improve the recovery of nucleic acid from all bacteria, including gram-positive bacteria.
