Grow, stain, and examine cells directly on the Thermo Scientific™ Nunc™ Lab-Tek™ Chamber Slide™, which consists of a polystyrene media chamber attached to a microscopic slide. Slide surface is specially treated for adherent cell culture. Choose either specialty washed Soda Lime Glass slide or cell attachment optimized Permanox Plastic slide. Media chamber is easily removable without the need for a tool.

Features:
  • The solvent-resistant Permanox™ Plastic Chamber Slides are available in 1-, 2-, 4- and 8-well formats.
  • The specialty washed Soda Lime Glass Chamber Slides are available in 1-, 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-well formats.
  • Media chambers can be removed from slides without the need for a tool
  • Medical-grade non-toxic silicone sealing gasket can be removed with a pair of pointy tweezers before applying coverslip.
  • "Sand blasted" writing area provides easy identification of samples.
  • Coverglass 171080 is to be used with the 16-well glass Chamber Slide 178599.

What is the difference between your original Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide System and your Nunc Lab-Tek II Chamber Slide System?

Please review the following key differences between the Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide System and the Nunc Lab-Tek II Chamber Slide System:
- The Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide System is available in Permanox plastic or glass and incorporates a silicone gasket.
- The Nunc Lab-Tek II Chamber Slide System is available in glass only and do not have a silicone gasket.
- The Nunc Lab-Tek II Chamber Slide System has a blue hydrophobic border and the upper structure is attached by an adhesive. Supplied with this product is a key and holder system which is used to remove the upper structure from the glass slide.
- The Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide System is available in 1-, 2-, 4-, 8- or 16-well formats.
- The Nunc Lab-Tek II Chamber Slide System is available in 1-, 2-, 4- or 8-well formats.

Can I use my Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide products for fluorescence applications?

Our Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide products are used for fluorescence analyses at the microscopic level.
The following are commonly used excitation and emittance wavelengths:
FITC
- Excitation: 420-490 nm
- Emittance: 520-550 nm
Rhodamine
- Excitation: 510-560 nm
- Emittance: 570-610 nm
Hoechst
- Excitation: 330-380 nm
- Emittance: 480-510 nm

Are your Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide System products made of soda lime glass sold pre-coated?

The Nunc Lab-Tek Chamber Slide System products, made of soda lime glass, are not coated with any chemicals or biological reagents. Since glass is typically a good substrate for adherent cells, these soda lime glass products are not surface modified in any manner.
