MicroAmp 8-Tube Strips with Attached Domed Caps
MicroAmp 8-Tube Strips with Attached Domed Caps feature individually attached domed caps, dual large end-tabs, and graduated 20-μL markers on each tube to help prevent cross-contamination, pipetting errors, and sample identification errors.
• Strip of eight tubes with attached domed caps that open and close independently to prevent contamination and evaporation
• Angled caps that provide efficient tube strip positioning in racks and thermal cycler blocks
• Etched A-H letter labeling on individual tubes that is visible when caps are open or closed
• Dual end tabs for proper labeling and easy handling
• Graduated 20-μL measuring markers on each tube for visual volume verification

MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-Well PCR Reaction Plates
MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-Well PCR Reaction Plates have a unique design, with three identical polypropylene 32-well PCR plates connected by dual side-tabs for use with 32-well and standard 96-well thermal blocks. The plates offer the same thin-wall construction as all other MicroAmp plastics, for excellent heat transfer from thermal block to sample, and they are validated for use with Applied Biosystems PCR thermal cyclers for optimal fit and performance.
• Designed for use with the ProFlex 3 x 32-well PCR System and all Applied Biosystems standard 96-well thermal cyclers
• Easy-to-tear dual side-tabs for simple separation into three individual 32-well plates
• Semi-skirted for easy handling and labeling
• Standard 250 μL working volume, with a 300 μL maximum well volume when used with an adhesive film
• Alphanumeric labeling on each 32-well plate for easy well identification
• Certified human DNA-, DNase-, and RNase-free

MicroAmp 32-Well Clear Adhesive Films
MicroAmp 32-Well Clear Adhesive Film is designed specifically for use with MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-Well PCR Reaction Plates. The film provides an alternative to cap strips and seals 32-well samples securely to prevent PCR sample evaporation and well-to-well contamination.
• Same product design as the trusted MicroAmp Clear Adhesive Film for 96-well plates, but pre-cut to fit 32-well plates
• Easy to apply and remove—simply peel off the backing and apply firmly to the 32-well plate

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What is the optimal ramp rate for my thermal cycler?

There is no universal ramp rate for a thermal cycler because both the block and sample ramp rates are different for each thermal cycler. The sample ramp rate changes with the volume of the sample since more time and energy are required to heat higher sample volumes. The ramp rate may also need to be changed for a particular PCR assay or primer pair if you are trying to use the same PCR assay on two different thermal cyclers, for example.

As a reference, the block ramp rate commonly used with DreamTaq Polymerase on the MiniAmp thermal cycler is 3.0 C/sec. In a 50 µL PCR reaction, this translates to a sample ramp rate of ~1 C/sec.
