Permeate performance:
230 L/hr.

Produce product water that is less than 0.1μS/cm. Thermo Scientific™ MaxiTower Plus is a reverse osmosis system with integrated EDI technology and recirculation module in a dust-proof cabinet. This system has an additional polisher cartridge enabling direct connection of a recirculation loop. The quality of the high purity water supplied by reverse osmosis is not sufficient when a conductivity below 1 μS/cm is required. For such cases, the combination of reverse osmosis with downstream electrodeionization (EDI) is necessary.

Complete unit, includes 10 in. pretreatment filter housing, volume flow meter for permeate/concentrate. Microprocessor control has digital conductivity measurement of feedwater and permeate, as well as individual limiting value monitoring of the permeate. The system also displays operating and fault messages, has an automatic quality rinse, potential-free contact and RS-232 connector for printer output.

Technical benefits at a glance

  • Capacity is 80 -230L/h At least 75% yield of high purity water
  • 99% reduction in salts, bacteria, particles and pyrogens
  • Automatic rinsing cycles
  • Low cost doubling of capacity on increased need for high purity water
  • Feed water is softened potable water
  • Housing is a cabinet
  • System is not to be wall mounted
  • Pretreatment - carbon prefilter
  • Digital conductivity of permeate,EDI and polisher
  • Display shows errors
  • Recirculation module / ion exchange with nuclear grade resin included
  • RS232 optional
  • Storage tank is not included but required

Efficient performance, economical running

  • For supplying autoclaves, washing machines and automatic analyzers when the tap water has a high salt content
  • When ion exchanger regeneration costs are high
  • When reliable handling of the regeneration process cannot be ensured
  • When greater-than150L of high purity water are required daily
  • When removal of a high percentage of bacteria, particle and pyrogen is required
  • When a constant water quality is a necessity
  • When recirculation of the tank water is necessary
  • As central purified water system in buildings

Dependable high purity water quality

Thermo Scientific reverse osmosis (RO) membranes are not only extremely effective in removing salts, but also more than 99% effective in removing incoming bacteria, particles and pyrogens.

The quality rinse is a completely automatic rinsing cycle with permeate discard before and after use, as well as when not in use, to ensure constant high purity water quality.

More water needed? No problem

Should your high purity water requirement increase (e.g. because of the purchase of additional glassware washers), then your system can be retrofitted to double its capacity without changing its dimensions.

Saves space and cuts costs

A central water treatment system replaces numerous individual systems and so not only saves space but also eliminates costs for ion exchanger regeneration etc.

Downstream treatment measures, e.g. sterile filtration, UV disinfection and tanks, can also be mostly fitted in, according to their size.
