Description

Potassium thiocyanate is used in the preparation of ethylenesulfide, lead thiocyante, which is used in the conversion of acyl chloride to thiocyanates. It is also used in solid state NMR of heavy-metal nuclei which results in the preparation of several mercury-thiocyanate and selenocyanate compounds as potential models. It finds application in cosmetic and personal care product formulations as a skin conditioning agent. It is also used in moisturizers and oral care products.
