TRACE™ 1600 Series GC eLearning courses

TRACE™ 1600 Series GC eLearning courses provide you with foundational knowledge and basic skills that you need to use and benefit from your instrument. You will find a series of eLearning courses which can cover different topics such as foundational theory and/or basic operations principle and/or user maintenance and troubleshooting.

The TRACE™ 1600 Series GC Foundational Theory eLearning course provides the basics of Gas Chromatography (GC). The uses and applications for gas chromatography are covered as well as some example workflows. This course will also describe the basic components of a GC system and their various functions.

This Foundational Theory eLearning course is similar to the Trace™ 1300 Series GC

The TRACE™ 1600 Series GC Basic Operation with Chromeleon™ eLearning course familiarizes users with how to create GC methods, sequences, as well as how to start your run in Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System (CDS). Instruction on how to process data acquired from your Thermo Scientific™ Trace™ 1300/1600 Series gas chromatography system using Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) software is also covered. This course is designed for new users who want to learn how to use/run basic experiments on the instrument. Some topics include:

• Setting parameters through the instrument control pane
• GC-FID method creation using the SSL injector
• View of chromatographic data
• Peak detection and identification

The TRACE™ 1600 Series GC User Maintenance and Troubleshooting eLearning course provides basic troubleshooting and maintenance guidelines on the Thermo Scientific™ TRACE™ 1600 Series gas chromatographs. Its content is broken down into three sections:

• A brief introduction to the value of timely maintenance and documenting maintenance events.
• GC troubleshooting: how to approach troubleshooting different areas of concern and how to resolve issues/problems.

• Basic maintenance procedures on the TRACE Series GC

The content included in this course is also applicable to the Trace™ 1300 Series GC.
