The CEDIA™ Sample Check Assay is a type of specimen validity test that is used to determine if the urine specimen contains any compounds that will compromise the validity of the CEDIA assays for drugs of abuse screening. In order to determine the specific interfering substance(s), more specific specimen validity tests should be used, such as the DRI™ pH-Detect™ Test, the DRI™ Creatinine-Detect™ Test, the DRI™ General Oxidant-Detect™ Test, and the DRI™ Gravity-Detect™ Test.
