Description

Azobenzene is used to construct photoswitch tethered ligands to turn protein activity on and off. It is also used to increase the extracellular or intracellular concentration of active molecules to study the mechanism of action of sympathetic and parasympathetic neuromediators.

Applications

Solubility
Soluble in alcohol, ether, benzene and glacial acetic acid. Insoluble in water.
