2-Ethylhexane-1,3-diol is used in organic synthesis and can be used to produce polyester resin, polyester plasticizers, polyurethane resin. It is also effective vermifuge to mosquitoes.

Applications
2-Ethylhexane-1,3-diol is used in organic synthesis and can be used to produce polyester resin, polyester plasticizers, polyurethane resin. It is also effective vermifuge to mosquitoes.

Solubility
Soluble in water (42g/L at 20°C). Soluble in alcohol and ether.

Notes
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. It is hygroscopic in nature.
