Description

2-Amino-4-ethylpyridine is used as a precursor to prepare 1-ethyl-3-[5-(7-ethyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-2-yl)-2-hydroxy-phenyl]-urea. It is also used as an intermediate in organic synthesis. It is considered as an analogue of pirlimycin, which acts as an antibiotic.
