Description

(S)-(-)-Glycidol is employed in the synthesis of chiral (E)-allylic alcohol side-chains for introduction into prostacyclin and prostaglandin frameworks by cross-metathesis. Also used as a starting reagent to synthesize non-peptidic HIV protease inhibitors.

Applications
