Aplicaciones
Es el bifenilo utilizado en combinación con el metal de Li para generar metal de Ca activado. También se usa como un importante material de partida para la producción de bifenilos policlorados. También es un intermedio en la producción de una serie de otros compuestos orgánicos.

Soluble en alcohol y éter.
