Descripción
Regioselective chlorination and oxidizing reagentN-Chlorosuccinimide is used as a chlorinating agent, mild oxidant and swimming pool disinfectant. It is used in the microdetermination of hydrazine salts by titrimetry as well as in the detection of arsenic in the +3 oxidative state. It is also employed in the production of rubber additives. Further, it is used as pharmaceutical intermediate and antibiotic drugs intermediate.

Aplicaciones
La N-clorosuccinimida, reactivo oxidante y de cloración regioselectiva, se utiliza como agente clorante, oxidante suave y desinfectante de piscina. Se utiliza en la microdeterminación de sales de hidracina por titulación, así como en la detección de arsénico en el estado oxidativo +3. También se emplea en la producción de aditivos de caucho. Además, se utiliza como intermedio farmacéutico e intermedio antibiótico.
Solubilidad
Soluble en agua, alcohol, benceno, acetona y ácido acético. Ligeramente soluble en éter, cloroformo, tetracloruro de carbono y éter de petróleo.

Sensible a la luz y sensible a la humedad. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes, ácidos fuertes, bases fuertes, aminas, amoníaco, hierro y sales de hierro.
