3-Iodo-4-methylaniline is used as fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates. 2-[((3-iodo-4-methyl)phenylimino)methyl]-5-nitrothiophene was derived from 5-nitro-2-thiophene-carboxaldehyde and 3-iodo-4-methylaniline. 1-(3-iodo-4-methylphenyl)-3-tert-butyl-2H-aminopyrazole (5), prepared from 3-iodo-4-methylaniline.

Aplicaciones
La 3-yodo-4-metilanilina se utiliza como productos químicos finos, productos farmacéuticos intermedios. El 2-[((3-yodo-4-metil)fenilimino)metil]-5-nitritophiofeno se derivó del 5-nitro-2-tiofeno-carboxaldehído y la 3-yodo-4-metilanilina. El 1-(3-yodo-4-metilfenil)-3-terc-butilo-2H-aminopirazol (5), preparado a partir de 3-yodo-4-metilanilina.

Insoluble en agua.
