Descripción

6-Mercaptopurine is a widely used antileukemic agent that inhibits de novopurine synthesis through incorporation of thiopurine methyltransferase metabolites into DNA and RNA. It is also an antitumor agent and induces apoptosis.

Aplicaciones
La 6-mercaptopurina es un agente antileucémico ampliamente utilizado que inhibe la síntesis de novopurina a través de la incorporación de metabolitos de la tiopurina metiltransferasa en el ADN y el ARN. También es un agente antitumoral e induce apoptosis.

Solubilidad
Soluble en soluciones diluidas de hidróxidos alcalinos, alcohol caliente y 1 N NaOH (50 mg/ml). Insoluble en agua.
