Descripción

1-Methylisatin is used as a reactant for stereoselective preparation of spirobicyclic and bis-spirotricyclic pyrazolidinones, for regioselective preparation of spirocyclic oxindole-butenolides, for synthesis of spiro-oxindoles, for preparation of unsymmetrical oxindoles, for stereoselective preparation of hydroxyloxindoles via Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction, for preparation of pyridinecarboxylic acid [(oxo)indolylidene)hydrazide derivatives (Schiff base hydrazides) as antibacterial agents.

Aplicaciones
La 1-metilisatina se utiliza como reactante para la preparación estereoselectiva de pirazolidinonas espirocíclicas y bis-espirocíclicas, para la preparación regioselectiva de oxindol-butenolidas espirocíclicas, para la síntesis de espiro-oxindoles, para la preparación de oxindoles asimétricos, para la preparación estereoselectiva de hidroxiloxindoles mediante la reacción de Morita-Baylis-Hillman, para la preparación de derivados del ácido piridincarboxílico [(oxo)indolilideno)hidrazida (hidrazidas de base Schiff) como agentes antibacterianos.

Insoluble en agua.
