1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylic acid is used for the preparation of plastic, man-madefiber, water soluble alkyl resin, plasticizer and medicament intermediate. It is also used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, epoxy curing agent, plasticizers, adhesive and coating material. Further, it combines with para-hydroxypyridine to make a water-based gel.

Aplicaciones
El ácido 1,3,5-bencenotricarboxílico se utiliza para la preparación de plástico, fibra sintética, resina de alquilo soluble en agua, plastificador y producto intermediario en medicamentos. También se utiliza como intermediario farmacéutico, agente endurecedor de epoxi, plastificador, adhesivo y material de revestimiento. Además, se combina con para-hidroxipiridina para hacer un gel a base de agua.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua, etanol y metanol.

Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes.
