Descripción

Calcium hydride is used as an efficient drying agent for aprotic base-stable solvents like ethers and tertiary amines. It is a useful dehydrating agent in a synthesis of aldehyde enamines in high yield and purity.

Aplicaciones
El cloruro de calcio se utiliza como agente de secado eficiente para disolventes de base estable apróticos como éteres y aminas terciarias. Es un agente deshidratador útil en la síntesis de enaminas de aldehído con una alta producción y pureza.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua y alcohol. Insoluble en benceno.

Notas
Sensible a la humedad. Reacciona vigorosamente con el agua y libera gas hidrógeno. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes, ácidos fuertes, halógenos, agua y alcoholes.
