Cytochalasin B is used for characterizing some of the polymerization properties of actin, and in studies on cytokinesis. Probe for the two hexose-transport systems in rat L6 myoblasts. And induces DNA fragmentation, inhibits cell division, and disrupts many cell processes. Inhibits glucose transport.

Aplicaciones
La citocalasina B se utiliza para caracterizar algunas de las propiedades de polimerización de la actina, así como en los estudios sobre citoquinesis. Sonda para los dos sistemas de transporte de hexosa en mioblastos L6 de rata. También induce la fragmentación del ADN, inhibe la división celular y altera muchos procesos celulares. Inhibe el transporte de la glucosa.

Solubilidad
Fácilmente soluble en DMF, DMSO o etanol a temperatura ambiente.

Notas
Almacenar lejos de los agentes oxidantes fuertes. Mantener el recipiente herméticamente cerrado. Almacenar en un lugar fresco y seco y en recipientes bien sellados.
