Descripción

Diphenyl phosphate is used in the manufacture of phosphoric acid diesters such as triphenyl phosphate, trixylenyl phosphate, isodecyl diphenyl phosphate, cresyl diphenyl phosphate and isopropylphenyl diphenyl phosphate. It is widely used as a protective agent for hydroxyl group in organic synthesis. It finds application as an additive for paints and coatings.

Aplicaciones
El fosfato de difenil se utiliza en la fabricación de diésteres de ácido fosfórico como el trifenilo, fosfato de trixilenilo, fosfato de isodecil difenilo, fosfato de cresil difenilo y fosfato de isopropilfenil difenilo. Se utiliza de manera común como agente protector para el grupo hidroxilo en la síntesis orgánica. Se emplea como aditivo para pinturas y revestimientos.

Solubilidad
Soluble en benceno. Insoluble en agua.
