Solketal is useful for synthesis of mono-, di- and triglycerides. It is used as the starting reagent for synthesis of tulipaline derivatives. It acts as a fuel additive in gasoline. It is an inhibitor of Methyl ethyl ketone .

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua (totalmente), alcohol, acetales, ésteres y éteres.
Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantener el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Los materiales incompatibles son los ácidos y los agentes oxidantes fuertes.
