Pentamethyldisiloxane is used in the synthesis of siloxane-polyether copolymer surfactants. It is also used as source of trimethylsilyl functional group in organic synthesis.

Aplicaciones
El pentametildisiloxano se utiliza en la síntesis de surfactantes copolímeros de siloxano-poliéter. También se utiliza como fuente del grupo funcional trimetilsililo en la síntesis orgánica.
